EXTRA COSTS AND CONSIDERATIONS
Me supplying cars has proven to
be
a hassle. I am in the plane business not the car business but used cars
can
be bought for under $1000 and if you get a minnesota drivers license
insurance
is around $100 every 6 months. These cars can be sold when you leave. I
am
trying to work out a rental program with a local car dealer.
Bikes free
Food is inexpensive and lots of
different
choices available
ADI will treat all people
honestly and fairly regardless of race, creed, nationality or gender.
ADI has been in business for 15
years.
Payment
ADI accepts Visa/Master card, Cash is US dollars,
Travelers Checks and Wire Transfers. Credit Cards will be subject to a
usage fee of
5% .
Package prices can be paid for in 2 ways. Payment in
full
when you arrive or 3 installments, plus surcharge, with due dates
varying
according to the course you are enrolled in.
You can also pay as you go but the costs are higher.
Pay as you go prices are as follows:
C172 $110 dual
C172 $88.40 tax included solo/rental
PA34 Seneca $245 dual
Housing is $300 per month for the pay as you go students and included with the "package prices"
ADI is a Licensed, Bonded and fully Insured Flight
School.
Please do not enter
into the prepaid courses lightly!! I suggest that before you
commit to the "package" prices or deposits, take a couple of flights
and see if you want to continue.
If you choose the "package" prices, my refund policy is fashioned after
college tuition payments. Refunds will be available for up to three
months after enrollement. During the first three months refunds will be
issued based on pay as you go prices. After three months refunds will
not be available for prepaid "package" courses.
I want you to complete the course
and will continue to honor the
flight hours remaining (based on the current value of those hours) on
any prepaid "package" courses or deposits after the cash refund period
has expired.
These are not
guaranteed courses
but a motivated student with
average skills can and will complete the courses as advertised. All
applicants for the Professional course have completed the training and
received the Commercial/Instrument/Multi engine and single engine
ratings.

To take
the commercial flight
test you can hold a 3rd class medical certificate but you can
not fly commercially, "for hire". The
third class medical costs approximately $120. If you plan on flying
commercially in
the USA then you need at least a 2nd class medical certificate
and that costs approximately $170.
The normal training progression is
- Private Pilots license in about 5-6 weeks, sooner if
everything cooperates (weather, planes, skills).
- Time building phase. You need to fly and build cross country
hours. (50 hrs of x-c required for the Instrument rating).
- Instrument Rating! All License and ratings are an
accomplishment but this rating takes lots of work (at least it did for
me)
- More time building. The Commercial License requires 250 hrs
and at this point you probably have about 100 hrs.
- Commercial License training will start at approxametly 210
hours. which will include your multi engine training and single engine
commercial maneauvers.
- Finaly Your Commercial Multi Engine checkride and Commercial
Single Engine checkride.
